Today with text messages and instant messages and quick video clips, eighteen minutes seems like a big investment.
But that is exactly what I am asking you to do, invest eighteen minutes and some odd seconds of YOUR time in the video clip I will reference here in a few sentences.
Once in a while something comes along that really makes you sit up and take notice, that really takes your breath away, that truly has a significant impact. I can’t find enough words to describe the impact this has had on me, so I just say ‘WOW’.
My husband shared this clip with me on Friday evening. It is a few months old, so it may not be new to you. But it is worth more than one viewing.
I am talking about Dr. Jill Taylor’s talk at the TED conference (Technology, Engineer and Design). Dr. Taylor is a neuroanatomist who woke up one day and experienced her own stroke. How she shares her experience with us and the fact that she can share this experience with us is truly amazing.
I laughed, I cried and I really felt peace. I believe that I witnessed the perfect merger of art and science.
I hope this brings some WOW into your life too.

PS – Since there are no coincidences, I will also share with you that a week ago a friend of mine suffered a minor stroke. She is home and recovering nicely.
